Data Processing - is a technique of collecting manipulating and distribution data to achieve certain functions.
Computer Systems
System - is a collection of objects, procedures, or techniques that interact in a regulated manner to form an organized whole.

OUTPUT MEMORY
Central Processing Unit - which is also known as the main frame for large computers. Is the heart of the computer system.
It is composed of three units:
(1) Control Unit
(2) Arithmetic / Logic Unit (ALM)
(3) Primary Storage Unit
ALU ↔ CONTROL UNIT ↔ PRIMARY STORAGE
The CPU sub-units: ALU, control unit and primary storage.
Control Unit - maintain order and control activity in the CPU.
- IT DOES NOT process or store data.
Arithmetic / Logic Unit - performs arithmetic computations and logical operations.
- the computer can be instructed to branch to one of three operations depending in whether a value being tested is greater than, or less than another value.
Primary Storage Unit - holds instructions, data and intermediate and final results. Each storage cell is capable of string one bit of data.
